The Director Sales and Field Operations is responsible for establishing the sales targets to meet the Apergy Rod Lift objectives. Responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth for the Apergy Rod Lift solutions to our customers. Success in this role will position the job holder for further career development in Apergy.
Key Responsibilities
In conjunction with the Managing Director, advance & refine a strategic plan that aligns people, products, marketing and sales capability to achieve growth and profitability targets.
Build, develop and manage a sales and account management team capable of carrying out strategies and initiatives.
Responsible for creating and executing revenue growth as committed in the Annual Operating Plan for Rod Lift and grow market share.
Add value to Planning and Supply Chain management team in preparing materials and managing working capital
Insures all field operations service and support the success of our customers.
Measure the effectiveness of our wholesale partners and create plans to enhance their performance.
Create detailed business plans on potential commercial opportunities, defining market size, product differentiation, competition assessment, regulatory requirements, resource allocation needs, cash flow analysis and overall risk assessment.
Collaborate and teamwork with production and quality control departments for implementation of sales plans, forecasts, production requirements, product specifications, product inventories, packaging and shipping logistics.
Develop robust forecast that delivers predictable results.
Build on the company's established market and customer focus.
Develop competitive intelligence and communications
Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management to track progress versus goals, business plans, budgets and expense/capital reporting and commercial financial planning.
In conjunction with Director of Manufacturing Operations and Technical Services develop and communicate strategies to support revenue growth that meets organizational commitments.
Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses.
Implements approved distribution strategies.
Builds, develops and manages sales team capable of solution selling and carrying out needed sales and service initiatives.
Insure the effectiveness of a performance-bases sales incentive programs.
Works with VP Product Management & Strategic Marketing to plan and implement the sales and marketing of new products.
Required Skills
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field / experience. MBA will be a plus
10 - 15 years of sales leadership experience, including a track record of success in large sales in Rod Lift.
A proven track record of demonstrated success leading teams selling Rod Lift Solutions
Able travel to 50% of the time.
Demonstrated change management success.
Proven track record to growing a business with profitable, organic initiatives that leverage a company's core technology, cost and competitive advantages.
Strong Leadership and business acumen and an in-depth understanding of the marketing and financial implications of new opportunities.
Great team builder with proven track record for hiring, developing and promoting people into bigger roles.
Experience working within a matrixed operating environment as well as in a strategic consulting or senior staff marketing role.
Excellent broad-based business thinker who can collaborate effectively with peers and executive functional and senior business line leaders.
Preference will be given to Leaders with an artificial lift industry background.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
