Applies diversified knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices to assigned projects.
Required Skills
Supports Rod Lift R&D and new product development processes.
Using specialized mechanical engineering knowledge and experience, identifies, understands, and documents internal and external customer or product requirements.
Plans the design and implementation of technology products, specialty industry equipment, or computer programs; develops technical specifications and schematics with other engineering disciplines.
Develops prototypes, test plans, validations, including layout, design schematics, calculations and conceptual design; utilize standard methods and project principles.
Researches and documents new technologies; participates in or conducts design reviews and brainstorming sessions.
Leads material analysis of coatings, treatments and alloys through use of metallurgical equipment.
Has responsibility for evaluating, selecting and appling the mechanical engineering techniques, procedures and criteria components of a large project or a complex component of a single project.
Schedule, review, and coordinate new product development efforts with other project personnel, developing recommendations, and working with sales team to perform evaluations of equipment and proposals.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of departmental design standards, applicable engineering codes, and Company X guidelines; provide suggestions and recommendations as needed.
Writes and presents technical papers at various industry workshops and conferences.
Interfaces with sales, manufacturing, quality and supply chain to design and deliver solutions.
Continues to develop capability to create engineering solutions through training and experience.
Knows and enforces compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Drives and contributes to the department continuous improvement culture.
Ensures that all products and designs comply with any regulatory or legal requirements.

Required Experience
Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree from an accredited program in Mechanical, Materials or Metallurgy Engineering.
Certification applicable to the country of employment, such as APEGA, required.
Courses and seminars required to maintain appropriate certifications.
Master's Degree in Mechanical, Materials or Metallurgy Engineering
1-5 years of desgin, new product development and/or metallurgy
Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred
Experience in material analysis, fatigue and corrosion
Experience in heat treat, electroplating, electroless plating and/or welding analysis
Competencies, Skills, and Knowledge:

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and SolidWorks.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
