Quality Assurance Manager - Harbison-Fischer (1509-146)

Implements and maintains all aspects of the Quality Management system. Responsible for managing all facility quality programs and implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) methods such as Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen to drive out waste and improve productivity.
Improves product quality from process through production by identifying and improving current inspection systems, quality operating procedures, and material and finished goods inspection requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring the requirements of the Harbison-Fischer API Q1/ISO 9001 quality system are properly implemented and maintained (updated as required to meet current regulatory and industry requirements)
Responsible for spearheading and ensuring a smooth transition to ISO 9001: 2015 from 2008.
Responsible for ensuring adequate corrective and preventative action is taken in a timely manner to resolve quality problems in all areas at Harbison-Fischer, including accurate follow-up
Responsible for the management and improvement of an established calibration lab and system
Work with leadership team to ensure individuals performing functions affecting quality are trained and demonstrate the appropriate skills and performance results
Evaluate performance and training needs of personnel in the department to keep staff at the highest level of skill necessary
Collaborates with the Quality Program Specialist in quality system sustainment (internal audits, working with inspectors, risk management, etc.) and improvement projects to improve QMS
Provides guidance to the Purchasing Department with regard to supplier quality performance; tracks and reports on supplier metrics (material variance reporting, overall supplier quality and delivery performance)
Collects, analyzes, and reports on data related to Cost of Quality (scrap and rework, both internally and externally)
Provides guidance to all employees, supervision and Internal Quality Auditors on all matters related to product quality
Coordinates, organizes, and leads monthly Action Plan Review meetings.
Facilitates the smooth and effective functioning of the Continuous Improvement program including training and implementation of lean principles
Provides support for Kaizen Events
Provides facility-wide quality/lean statistics to Dover on a monthly basis
Communicates and cooperates with other Dover company quality personnel as required
Required Experience
Required Experience:
At least 5 years of experience managing a Quality Management System in a manufacturing or similar environment
Knowledge and understanding of product flow, manufacturing orders and manufacturing process
Extensive knowledge and experience of ISO 9000 standards
Experienced in setting up/implementing, developing, and maintaining quality management systems
Experience with Problem-Solving methodologies (5 Why, root-cause analysis, PDCA, 8D, DMAIC, etc.)
Ability to learn and then teach technical information with respect to the API and ISO quality programs
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
Ability to analyze and visually represent complex data sets using tools such as Pivot Tables/Charts and basic statistical techniques
Capability to work with minimum supervision, self-starter
Leadership skills with the ability to influence change
Ability to work in a cooperative manner with other employees, and supervise the Internal Audit Team
Results- and detail-oriented
Strong analytical and problem solving skills required
American Petroleum Institute (API) Standard knowledge/experience definitely a plus (API Q1 / ISO TS29001, API 11AX and 11B)
Training and/or certification in Six Sigma and/or Lean

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
